Airconditioning duct works

An air conditioning duct is a network of pipes or tunnels designed to distribute conditioned air throughout a building. Collectively known as ductwork, these systems form a crucial part of a building’s HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) infrastructure. Typically, a single ductwork system transports cooled air during summer months, heated air during winter, and fresh air for ventilation, ensuring consistent comfort and air quality throughout the space.

Air conditioning ducts are primarily used with central air conditioning units, where air is conditioned in one central location and distributed via the ducts. In contrast, homes equipped with split systems or ductless air conditioners do not require ductwork, as these systems deliver air directly to individual rooms without the need for extensive piping networks.
